Hatha Yoga Teacher, 37
Namaskaram, I’m Anca,
for a long time, yoga played no role in my life, and the word “spirituality” meant little to me. My first encounter with a “yoga” class at a gym left me confused: it was noisy, the instructor gave nonstop instructions that only experienced participants could follow, and at times I was even pushed into postures—which I found not only uncomfortable but painful. It felt like little attention was given to correct alignment. Everything about it just felt wrong.
Then in 2020, as I was coming out of a difficult relationship, I came across a video by Sadhguru. He spoke about life, spirituality, and yoga—and it felt as if he was speaking directly to me. His wisdom was profound and, at the same time, surprisingly logical. Shortly after, I enrolled in the Inner Engineering program designed by Sadhguru. Even during the course, I began to notice the first shifts within myself.
In 2022, my journey took me for the first time to the Isha Yoga Center in India, where I spent eight months participating in the Sadhanapada program. During this time, I learned all the foundational practices of Isha Yoga and spent several hours each day in dedicated practice. The transformations I experienced—physically and internally—were deeply moving. This form of yoga, taught in its purest classical way, had such a profound impact on me and those around me that I felt called to become a yoga teacher myself.
Following Sadhanapada, I returned to India in 2023 to undergo the intense 5-month Hatha Yoga Teacher Training (1,750 hours). Seven hours of physical practice each day, supported by a detailed curriculum designed not only to impart knowledge but to foster personal transformation, deepened my commitment to share classical Hatha Yoga.
I am happy and grateful to now share these transformative practices with you and support you on your own journey.
